Hex mage is really good, if nothing else for the breakthrough and debuff potential. Cabal shaman can mix with sigil stacking, or you can grab infuse wind and conjure for a solid melee mage build, it does wonders for elemental boons and resistance, while giving you a nice tool or two. The hex mage has two trees the will focus on Blood (decay) or a combination of everything (Hex). Both are lots of fun but i'd suggest hex for a pure mage. Also dont forget the spellswords awakening in cierzo which gives an awesome elemental discharge ability and the ritualist with multiple drums that are both awesome mana builds.
