I am thinking of getting a precision rimfire for max 100 - 200 yards target/Competition. Can anyone advise which of these 3 would be the most reliable/accurate: Bergara B14 R in steel or carbon fiber CZ 457 MTR KIDD supergrade complete build.I don't think they are worth 3x the price. I have both, my Bergara will consistently shoot .3's with the right ammo at 50, but my Vudoo will do the same with a wider range of ammo. Action is smoother and easier to find barrels for the Vudoo. I don't have a Bergara but I shoot CZ 457 and 452's in factory class and use the Sinclair with a slight modification. I epoxied the height/cant adjustment to where it cannot move. I set the rifle level with the leg adjustments. It makes for a very steady platform. For the rear I use either my PQP adjustable rear or a Protektor bunny ear.

I have tested Bergara as well, and i have also CZ 457 Long Range Precision. But i must say that i like Bergara more than CZ. Stock is better. Trigger is better. It is more accurate than CZ. And more like a real rifle than rimfire, if that is what you are looking for. I'm on the waiting list for a left handed B14r carbon steel barrel. The carbon fiber barrels are too light and unbalanced for NRL and PRS matches. The 457 At One will keep up with a Bergara quite easily or better with the right ammo. Usually RWS Rifle Match and SK Rifl Match ammo so keep an eye out for them.

I have a RimX and a Bergara B14R. My Bergara is the carbon barreled version and it performs fine in the hot Georgia sun. Saying that I would get the steel for balance.
