Having just picked up a Virtus, it's a chonky boi. Spear seems much lighter in comparison. Don't think you can go wrong with either, but if weight is a concern, the Spear is the way to go. Here're SIG's Match Duo Trigger's hammer from my MCX Virtus on the left and SIG516's mil-spec hammer on the right. The Virtus hammer is about 2mils or ~1/16" taller than the 516's. BTW, I believe SIG includes their Match Duo triggers in their MCX Upper AR ... I'm considering building an 'AR' with an MCX upper/conversion kit later on down the line, and Lancer's carbon fiber handguard really caught my eye.
